Fall Teams

New! Fall Teams coming in September 2026: Under Construction A team-based program for players who did not make their school Grade 8, 9, or 10 team. Players participate in Smash tryouts in mid September, and those selected (approximately 70%-80% of attendees) will be placed on teams. Capacity for 3-4 teams @ gr 8/9 boys, 3-4 teams @ grade 8 girls, and 3-4 teams @ grade 9/10 girls. Players are assigned to teams based on friend requests and practice location preferences. 

  • Intermediate, advanced. All genders
  • Season length: 7–8 weeks. Once a week practice and playdays on five Saturdays
  • Team t-shirt included
  • Weekly practice location options: Tuesday or Wednesday at Queen Alexandra Elementary (1300 E Broadway), Thursday at Ecole Anne Hebert (7150 Killarney St.), or Sunday morning at Magee Secondary (3630 Maple St).  
  • Playdays on Saturday morning at Gladstone Secondary School (4105 Gladstone St).

Once tryouts are completed, an email will be sent to all parents with one of the following subject lines:

  • “Selected: Please register for Fall Teams” A link will be sent to register with the opportunity to make friend requests and practice day preference
  • “Waitlist: if space allows for more players your child will be offered a spot. Please register for a Fall Weekly Skills & Games and we will move your child’s registration to Fall Teams.”
  • “Not selected for Fall Teams. Please register for a Fall Weekly Skills & Games program”

Thursday Ecole Anne-Hebert teams (x2 teams): Oct 15, 22, 29, Nov 5, 12, 19, 26, Dec 3

Sunday Magee teams (x5 teams): Oct 18, 25, Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Playdays: Oct 24, 31, Nov 7, Nov 21, Dec 5 at Gladstone Secondary School (time TBA)
